What are "Preliminary Questions"?

Preliminary Questions

Many applications require you to answer preliminary questions before accessing the application pages. The questions are significant because your answers determine:

  • application format
  • application requirements
  • application fee

Some examples of typical preliminary questions:

  • Are you a U.S. Resident?
  • What program are you applyinng for?

If you want to modify your Preliminary Questions, you will find a link Update My Answers To Preliminary Questions at the top right of every Application page in the status bar.

Note: If you make changes to your Preliminary Questions after you have begun filling out your application, some fields might change, and information may be lost.
